Emma Champion’s long-awaited debut novel. TAIDEN’S TRUTH©, was officially released last week on the 31st of July.
The book, a passion project 16 years in the making, is the first in The TAIDEN Trilogy. The release date was marked by a fantastic Book Launch Drinks Reception, which took place at The Marchmont Arms in Hemel Hempstead last Wednesday evening.
In attendance were a mixture of friends and family, many of whom asked Emma to sign their copies of the book. Local cake-making specialists Mumma Bear’s Bakery, made 24 beautiful little cupcakes for guests to enjoy, each featuring a miniature, edible depiction of the book.
“I actually can’t believe this is happening,” Emma said on the night. “It’s taken a long time for this dream to become a reality; but it was worth the wait. I just knew it was something I had to see through to fruition.“
Emma dedicated the book to her parents, Jan and Colin Champion. “When I was little, Mum would read to me and Dad was really good at making up stories on the spot. I credit them for fuelling my imagination from an early age. They’ve both been really supportive and they’ve encouraged me every step of the way.“
“We’re all really proud of her,” said Jan. “Our daughter’s an author!”
TAIDEN’S TRUTH is available in Hardback, Paperback and e-Book format. If you’re lucky, you might even manage to get hold of one of the 25 collectible numbered editions, identified by the gold foil lettering on the cover. Emma is currently working on the two sequels in the trilogy.
